“Capacity Building Intern”



USAID SCHEP is a four-year (2014-2018) USAID project implemented by ACOR (American Center of Oriental Research. It aims to foster community and economic development through training and utilizing best practices in cultural heritage preservation and management.

The Internship:

USAID SCHEP, which is implemented by ACOR, is looking for a paid Capacity Building Intern to work closely with the SCHEP Capacity Building Coordinator on a number of administrative and communication tasks related to the capacity-building component of the project. 

This Internship is an intensive 1-month position (can be extended to additional two months based on the performance). The work will include fieldwork and site visits.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Assisting in the design, planning, and reporting of the capacity building programs.

·         Communication with the universities and partner CHR institutions and individuals.

·         Assisting the Capacity Building Coordinator in facilitating career development workshops, internships, and activities.

·         Develop a calendar of suggested programs.

·         Assist in the collection of the needed data and reports to the SCHEP Monitoring and Evaluations Officer.

·         Additional administrative assistance and other tasks as needed.

Desired Qualifications:


        Recent graduate majoring in management, cultural heritage management, tourism, communications, or any related field.

        Proficient written and spoken Arabic and English.

        Strong oral and written communication skills.

        Working knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
