SCHEP Scholarships now available for online study!

In light of global limitations on travel and gatherings, SCHEP will be offering scholarships for Jordanian professionals in the tourism industry to attend the online Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) Sustainable Tourism Training Program (STTP).

This course is adapted especially for the Jordanian tourism sector, and provides the knowledge and resources needed to help improve the sustainability practices of tourism industry businesses and destinations. Built on the framework of the GSTC Criteria, the global baseline standards for sustainability in travel and tourism, the STTP training class will help you achieve tangible actions that fulfill the globally recognized standard of sustainability best practices. This SCHEP Online Scholarship is available for 20 professionals in the field of Sustainable Tourism from both the private and public sector. The course duration is 2 weeks, with approximately 4.5 hours of study per week (1.5 hours a day, three days a week). Scholarship recipients must commit to attending the course from, June 1-12, 2020.

The amount of this scholarship will be up to 265.5 JOD to cover the course fees and online exam certification.

English language fluency (Speaking, Listening, Writing, and Reading Skills) is REQUIRED for this course!

This scholarship opportunity is dedicated to professionals and institutions involved with the tourism sector, from both public and private sector, including tour operators, hoteliers, tour guides and others. Eligibility is available but not limited to employees of institutions such as MoTA, JSTA, JATG, JITOA, PDTRA, and ASEZA/WRPA. Selection of candidates will be based on their demonstrated interest in and commitment to implementing sustainable tourism principles in Jordan.

Selected individuals will sign a commitment form and will be asked to deliver a final report on their participation in and feedback on the course.
