have partnered with the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) to organize a
second Sustainable Tourism Training Program (STTP) for Jordanian tourism
professionals! SCHEP will be offering scholarships for 20 people currently
working in the tourism industry to attend the online training.
This course is adapted especially
for the Jordanian tourism sector, and provides the knowledge and resources
needed to help improve the sustainability practices of tourism industry
businesses and destinations. Built on the framework of the GSTC Criteria, the
global baseline standards for sustainability in travel and tourism, the STTP
training class will help you achieve tangible actions that fulfill the globally
recognized standard of sustainability best practices. Full course information

This SCHEP Online Scholarship is
available for 20 professionals in the field of Sustainable Tourism from both
the private and public sector. The course duration is 2 weeks, with
approximately 4.5 hours of study per week (1.5 hours a day, three days a week).
Scholarship recipients must commit to attending the course from August 20 until
September 3, 2020.
The amount of this scholarship will be up to 265.5 JOD
to cover the course fees and online exam certification.
English language fluency (Speaking, Listening, Writing,
and Reading Skills) is REQUIRED for this course!

This scholarship opportunity is dedicated to
professionals and institutions involved with the tourism sector, from both
public and private sector, including tour operators, hoteliers, tour guides and
others. Eligibility is available but not limited to employees of institutions
such as MoTA, JSTA, JATG, JITOA, PDTRA, and ASEZA/WRPA. Selection of candidates
will be based on their demonstrated interest in and commitment to implementing
sustainable tourism principles in Jordan.
Selected individuals will sign a commitment form and
will be asked to deliver a final report on their participation in and feedback
on the course.
