“Cultural Heritage Resources Projects Internship”

About USAID SCHEP:

USAID SCHEP (2014-2018) is a USAID funded project and implemented by ACOR (American Center of Oriental Research). It aims to foster community and economic development through training and utilizing best practices in cultural heritage preservation and management.

The Internship:

USAID SCHEP, is looking for a “Cultural Heritage Resources Projects Intern” as a paid intern ($300/month) to work closely with the SCHEP Cultural Heritage Resources Projects Lead on a number of administrative and technical tasks related to the cultural heritage resources projects.

This Internship is an intensive 1-month position (can be extended to additional two months based on the performance). The work will include fieldwork and site visits.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Work closely with the CHR Project Lead in different tasks related to SCHEP sites.

·         Assist in collecting the needed data and reports.

·         Assist in developing site management guideline for SCHEP sites.

·         Assist in any additional administrative and technical tasks as requested.

Desired Qualifications:

•        Recent graduate majoring in management, cultural heritage management, tourism, communications, or any related field.

•        Proficient written and spoken Arabic and English.

•        Strong oral and written communication skills.
