The primary role of the Assistant is to assist in facilitating and coordinating the process of preparing the world heritage nomination file for the Umm al Jimal archaeological site. The Assistant will also be expected to work with the Department of Antiquities, the USAID Sustainable Cultural Heritage Through Engagement of Local Communities Project (SCHEP), and the technical committee to carry out other assigned tasks.
Collect and organize data and prepare reports when needed
Meet deadlines and track progress across the technical team to ensure that deliverables are completed on time
Schedule and organize meetings and workshops and prepare meeting agendas
Assist in any additional administrative and technical tasks as requested
Create an appropriate system for filing and paperwork
Prepare progress reports and meeting minutes
University degree in archaeology, cultural resources management, architecture, or any related field
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or related position related to archaeology or cultural heritage resource management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and Arabic)
IT skills are required
